Skoda-Kauba aircraft:

the company tried to develope a flying bomb to RLM,so the proposed
of flying bomb was tested in a light monoplane,the V.1 wehich was written
off in a crash.two modified,the V.1A and V.2, were tested before the project
was abandoned in 1943.other designs in the series were the V.3 light
sports aircraft,theV.4 fighter trainer,the V.5 single seat piston engined
fighter,the V.6 twin boom pusher monoplane,the V.7 canard research
aircraft and the V.8 primary trainer aircraft,anther aircraft and projects
to this company,the SK-257 which based on V.4, SL-6 research aircraft
based on V.6,P.14 ramjet fighter project and with Fiesler the FiSk-199 ,
it was well known.

was an article (3pages) about Skoda Kauba. Here two pictures of the SL6

In le Fana de l'aviation of 1992 (same nubers as the CF-105 arrow) was a monography of the Skoda aircrafts, and there was also pictures of the skoda Kauba. have to check!

Apart from the SL6 and the P14, already mentioned by Hesham, the same Flying Review
article showed the SK VI A, SK VI, V2 and the V3 with photos and the V5 with an
exploded view.

Thanks for posting that, Joe. The supersonic P.14 version is mentioned in Jet Planes of the Third Reich, The Secret Projects vol.1 with the note that "no further details are known", and I've wondered how it would have looked like.

I have read that the P.14S could reach a top speed of 3200 km/h.
I think that this is a construction from Dr. Eugen Sänger.
It is also known as "Staustrahlüberschallflugzeug"

I have heard that Skoda have built a 1:1 model of this project.

We must no confuse the Skoda-Kauba designs with the
work of Eugen Sänger.

The max. estimated speed of the Lorin powered Sänger Strahljäger project
was +- 850km/h at sea level.

I've seen mention of them in the 'Reichdreams Dossiers'. They're being released in downloadable form at the moment. Justo might be willing to post an individual 3-view; he's done so in the past.

All I've seen for this aircraft is a box-art picture.

were met on the battle field and defending them became more and more difficult.
The Kauba type didn't need a lot of strategic important materials, so production in
large numbers seemed to be realistic.Nevertheless, the project never came to fruition

In Vaclav Nemecek's book "Ceskoslovenska leteadla" (Nase Vojsko publ. 1968), page 28 of 3-views part, is the Skoda-Kauba V 4, maybe not the re-engined SK-257. Would that be useful? For a 1968 book, I think there cannot be a Copyright issue.

Progress report on the SK V4.


The first prototype flight I think was in 1943?
When would the RLM directive of using light fighters such as the SK V4 as a tank killer have been?
