Shadow on The Wall - Work in Progress by Jozef Gatial

looks Convairish to me...as said before

I like Lauge's joke very much.

1.Area rule is not applied to this design,so it is not seems to be Convair design.
2.Armament seems to be Falcon like AAM.
3.On the ground, this plane inclined and has thrust vectoring nozzle, so this is super sonic STOL
interceptor.
4.Jozef said it's not British,French and Russian.
5.Super sonic STOL interceptor..................It's Swedish design!! No?

I think, Jozef just said, it's not russian, because following Lauges rule, it must have been
a russian design !
To me, it has similarities to some british designs, like the great number of Boulton Paul
P.129 variants, or the Hawker P.1104 .... ???

As my chief from my previews Sweden company liked to say : Very well! It is one from predecessor of Saab Viggen!!! Practically every project from this family has some unique solution. I supposed release its first pictures this weekend but small action with high priority... Delay two weeks, sorry

One example!

Well I honestly have no idea who designed this "Mini-Hustler", but it really is an attractive aircraft. I would venture either UK or French design. Canopy and delta wing layout makes me tend to go with French.

Aircraft recognition 101: "If it's ugly, it's British. If it's weird, it's French. If it's ugly and weird, it's Russian".

An interesting take, that I had not thought of before!

You are true

The missile looks Swedish (its not a Falcon AAM)
Although I can not remember the missiles name!

Pioneer

I'm sorry I forgot to display small detail. It is first(?) from CL-915 family. If you have better sources as sketches in book on Skunk Works I will be gratefull for your help

Oh...my mistake...twin tails vs. one on CL-1980)))

This model is based on simple drawing in Joy Miller's book. Part between tails is not fully visible. Is it acceptable? Your ideas?

Yes I have that model photo, too but I want to ask you if planned role of N-176 was similar as role of F-106 and if I can use some action F-106's color scheme for N-176, too. Thanks

I believe so, yes. Go-fast-in-a-straight-line-and-launch-some-missiles. Like the F-106, the N-176 would probably have made a terrible dogfighter or ground attack plane... pure interceptor. Not being terribly advanced, it very likely would have wound up with National Guard units, like the F-106. Montana and Alaska, very likely.

The F-106 performed extremely well in dogfighting trials. So much so USAF launched Project Gunslinger to add a Vulcan cannon to the weapons bay. These bomber interceptors had requirements for sustained G turns at very high altitude which translated into excellent turning and energy retention down low.

Beauty and Voyager. No secrets in my comp. It is full of small bastards with cameras. My anti virus software is sleeping?

And do you know this project?

It's Lockheed Archangel 2 (September 1958)

And with regard to colorscheme what do you think some black(bird) color?

I think that should be the logical color scheme for it.

Black might be the right color for the operational versions... but let's face it, it would look a *lot* better in the black/bare titanium scheme of the A-12.

This one?

Yup, but with bare titanium instead of white (though I assume the white is just an early placeholder). For detailing the skin panels, I'd recommend taking a look here:
http://hsfeatures.com/features04/a12blackbirdtb_1.htm

You definitely want to get the "wedge" radar-absorbers in the wing leading edges.
