Designed during the years of ww1 by Scott, the famous motorcyclist, this rather nice useful and practical three-wheeled machine gun carrier for military use was unlucky to be retained by the military authorities and we all know how such a machine could have had a very important role in wartime.

Interesting. Are those leather tires?? So its a transport not really a platform?
 
Could this have inspired the bike+side-car used by the WW2 Germans ??

There were even a few attempts at transporting mortars by motorcycle sidecar. They tended to drop the baseplate onto the ground before firing the mortar.
