Weren't they supposed to have integrated the Taurus years ago, according to their then marketing placards? Then how can something that was not done in time be accounted as achieved earlier than planned?!
An other claim confirming that Gripen, for sure, has outfought... Modesty.

No, only now. And Eurofighter doesn't have thos integration yet.
Until now, it was only on Tornado and on F-15K (though a very underwhelming one).

Well, as said, nobody of the actual Gripen users uses the Taurus missile, so there was no pressure from customer side. This integration happened very probably because next year the Gripen will go to war in Ukraina.

Taurus was developed partially by Saab Bofors Dynamics. Its existence on marketing placards was probably therefore partially to sell Taurus, not Gripen. With regards to its implementation, the combination of Saabs/Bofors involvement and the fact that Taurus shared at least some DNA with the DWS-39/BK90, which is a similar brick already certified on the Gripen. That probably made it so that they knew what to expect. Add some pessimistic hedging and you get something way ahead of schedule.

Germany has ordered 600 Taurus NEO for use on Eurofighter. If Taurus NEO is intended as a replacement for 'old´ Taurus, German 'old' Taurus will be superfluous to German requirements. If I have understood correctly, half of 600 German Taurus inventory is operationally ready.
Gripen with 'old' Taurus in Ukrainian service? Never say never.

It is cheaper to send old ammunition to be exploded somewhere in Russia than recycling it according absurdly stringent european regulations... ;)
