Rohr Aircraft Corporation - Heli-Skimmer

Hello folks,
this photograph featuring the "Rohr Heli-Skimmer" was uploaded to the SDASM Flickr Archives on May 21, 2025.
It appears to be a STOL (or even VTOL) amphibious aircraft. Thus far, have been unable to locate any more details regarding this project.

Maybe I'm jaded, but all those little rotors so close to the wing surface do not look very efficient or credible. Even if the engines are tilt-able.

It doesn't look like an ideal setup for a Wing-In Ground Effect craft. I can kind of see the intent - the canard rotors pushing air below the wing and presumably the trailing edge rotors hindering its movement aft to maintain a cushion under the wing. But it doesn't feel like it would work in practice.
