Well-known French journalist, author, pilot, THE voice of aerial meetings in France (La Ferté-Alais air show, Salon du Bourget air show, Paris Villaroche Air Legend and so on). He was 78 y.o.

Can still remember his TV show, Pégase. From my pre-Internet days. Of course French public TV being a bunch of arseholes, they put the show close from midnight - and savagely cancelled it after five years despite correct ratings.
The man had many lives.
What I never knew is that his father, Gustave Chabbert, flew for the Aéropostale in the 1920's along the mythical Saint Exupéry, Mermoz, Guillaumet. No surprise little Bernard caught the aviation bug from the craddle on.
