Dear Boys and Girls, here is an article in French about the Piasecki Pathfinder compound helicopter prototype. It isn't "secret" and it isn't a "project"......

The article comes from the 15th October 1967 issue of Aviation Magazine International......

According to K. Munson's "Helicopters And Other Rotorcraft Since 1907" Piasecki had reportedly been working on a high-performance development in 1972, called "16H-1HT". It was intended to be powered by a 986shp Turbomeca Astazou XVI engine and to have a maximum speed of 325km/h and a range of 708km.

I checked the pictures to see if i'm in the background of one of them!
I'm glad you thought of taking pictures and posting them :D

Very nice photos indeed! Thx for sharing
...where is the air intake/exhaust?

By process of elimination, it would seem to have to be in the one place that doesn't show up in any of the photos: flush with the top of the fuselage, probably to the rear of the pylon. Some old photos show an inlet on the starboard side of the fuselage, but it appears to have moved.

The first pic in this thread appears to show the inlet and the exhaust both on the left side of the fuselage. It looks like it was a rectangular pitot inlet in the upper photo of that page and mostly flush in the lower photo on the first image.
