Dear Boys and Girls, here is an article in French showing a neat model of the VFW H-3 hot-cycle compound light helicopter. This probably isn't a "project" but I don't know (I don't care either) if this design made it to flight-testing or production. I'd never heard of it which is why I've posted the article here......

The article comes from the 1st June 1967 issue of Aviation Magazine International......

Re: VFW H-3 compound hot-cycle light helicopter......

Inf act 2 examples were built. I have to add, however, the H-03 was never flown in "compound" mode, only a a pure helicopter. The photo shows the H-3 with mock-up pusher props.

Dear Boys and Girls, here is a little picture with a caption in French of the VFW H-3 hot-cycle compound light helicopter prototype. The picture was in a much larger article about general aviation trends......

The picture comes from the 15th May 1969 issue of Aviation Magazine International......

Two more pics of the H-3, and one that is labeled "H-5", although I'm not sure this designation was genuine. Was it a modification?

The photo shows the mock-up of the H-5, which should be developed as a successor
to the H-3 with twin engines.

Maybe interesting (and somewhat bringing back this type to the "projects" section), two planned
developments into less peaceful variants, as escort (H5C) and attack/escort helicopters (H7C).
The cutout is from a FlugRevue article, that I should have in complete form, but still to dig out ... ::)

Thanks, Richard!
I remember seeing a side-view or 3-view of the H-5/7 tandem seats, but my FlugRevue collection is long, long gone

Many thanks Richard, that's what I was looking for !
It was printed on those green pages, that always marked the technicla special inside an
isseus, when the FlugRevue still was a real specialist periodical, and not just a mag !
Can you tell me, wht on the back was ? May help me to find it again .

Bonjour

The scan are from " FLUG REVUE + flugwelt international 5/1969 "

From another german review ( I don't remember which , sorry )
