Su-25 doesn't belong to the army though but the aerospace forces. And Su-25 has already effectively been replaced by drones and the Su-34. Mi-28 and Ka-52 despite several upgrades and still being competitive are getting a bit long in the tooth.

But Army Aviation doesn't fly the Su-25, that's with Assault Aviation regiments (штурмовой авиационны), so an Su-25 replacement would be PAK ShA (if I've got the transliteration right)

Now that you say it, I'm actually not sure.

Either way, I think we can all kinda disregard a Su-25 successor simply based on the wording given and how the modern battlefield looks like.

Same issue as the Boeing-Sikorsky SB-1, maintenance of the upper rotor head in the field would be a major problem.
