OceanGate Expeditions Titan DSV loss

All he wanted was a rush to a ton of his stock... options. In other words: he was a greedy pigfucker.

And that impatient greed ended up costing him and four others their lives in an extremely violent manner  .

I made an extremely lame joke and nobody noticed lol
I noticed it and the joke is ok for me. It's just that "pigfucker" is not appropiate for someone who just died and can't defend himself anymore. What will his relatives think when they read it?

Despite that, I agree that he acted not in a respinsible way and he is to blame for the death of his customers.

Sometimes I think Steelpillow had a point, even if he and I would probably draw the line two different places.

Stockton Rush had more money than sense. Physics caught up with him.

"There are three kinds of men. The ones that learn by readin’. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves." - Will Rogers
If you're too lazy to read or listen, not clever enough to observe - shit happens.

The Infographics Show has put out a video concerning the Titan's last trip to the bottom:

The Titan submersible didn't implode because of one unexpected failure. It was the result of years of ignored warnings, risky engineering decisions, and a CEO determined to prove the experts wrong. New evidence from the official investigation reveals the crew's final moments, while the recovered wreckage exposes flaws that may have doomed the sub long before its last dive. What looked like a tragic accident now appears to have been entirely preventable.
This video uncovers the real story behind the OceanGate disaster, why Titan's carbon-fiber hull was such a controversial design, and how Stockton Rush bypassed industry standards, dismissed safety concerns, and silenced whistleblowers. We examine the warnings from David Lochridge and Karl Stanley, the misleading claims involving NASA and Boeing, the dangers of carbon-fiber delamination, OceanGate's legal loopholes, and the 2025 investigation that reconstructed Titan's final moments. We also explore why deep-sea engineering leaves virtually no margin for error, and how physics ultimately proved impossible to ignore.
Was Titan destroyed by a freak accident, or was its fate sealed years before it ever reached the Titanic?

This whole sordid business and the unnecessary deaths is just SO infuriating especially where the man responsible is beyond justice:mad:.
