Does anyone provide me with infos about MEKAT-100 craft project?It was a German project in late '80s,early '90s,possibly of B&V,comprising a SES catamaran style ship capable of accepting multiple mission modules from SSM acting as a FAC to minewarfare capability.Any more info?

I like these concepts. Reminds me of Fincantieri's SES-1000 designs.

What about range and seawothiness of solid-sidewall hovercrafts? Are they much different than turbine or diesel equivalent-role ships?

Back On topic: Any literature available about this specific family?

The design company also proposed a "mother" ship for these vessels for operations in open seas.

It was also another member of the family,the MEKAT-200.I assume it was a larger vessel.MEKAT in different configurations were capable of antishipping role,minelayer,troops transport etc.
