LTV/Vought Low Speed Wind Tunnel (LSWT)

Good Day All!

I have become the happy and grateful caretaker of a significant number of 4x5 negatives of models that were tested in the LTV/Vought Low Speed Wing Tunnel (LSWT) along with a number of the test reports. As I sort thru the whole lot (guessing 4,000+ negatives), there is plenty there to share as they get scanned and identified.

Not everything is aerospace related - here's a few interesting models for your perusal....

I remember back in the 80's when I was at Purdue, they had a scale model for the low speed wind tunnel of downtown Indianapolis to calculate the wind loads on new buildings and how they would affect the loads on the buildings around them.

It had probably more drag than the test tunnel ;D
