Lockheed CL-278 - early U-2 concepts?

No further data apart from whats on the drawings (better version on my blog - http://up-ship.com/blog/). These precede, at least numerically, the CL-282, which was Lockheed's first official stab at the U-2. They look to be lighter-constructed than the U-2.

There's more info about the CL-278 in the book Secret Projects: Flying Wings and Tailless Aircraft, including data on the length, wingspan, wing area, et cetera. Although the CL-282 (F-104 Starfighter with sailplane-like wings) is often seen as the first Lockheed Skunk Works design for what would become the U-2, the CL-278 was actually the first Skunk Works design for a subsonic spyplane.
