Just to be sure, not the early 1930s Rolls-Royce R11 engine that for a time bore the Griffon name?

It probably is based on a Wellington, but it's an artistic ashtray so I wouldn't read too much into it.

I have to check, it seems unlikely.

The vertical tail design is more English than anything else and Italian bombers (up to the never completed P.133) never had tail gunner position.
