Hi everybody

Here the Horten XVIII
http://www.luft46models.com/manufacturers/ho/ho18.shtml

Here the Horten XVIIIB-2 - EF-140
http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,4973.0.html
Was this the definitively version of the Horten "Fernbomber" ?

Here another Horten XVIIIB with fixed landing gear.

Many greetings

All the Horten bomber projects always struck me as underpowered, and exaggerated performance figures. I don't see how it is possible for an aircraft powered by 4 HES-011 engines could have intercontinental range.

The engines were built by the Nibelung. ;)

There is also another design of the Ho XVIII called Ho XVIII B-2 with Ho XVIIIA airframe and 6 jumo 004 or BMW 003 engines slung underneath

Well I'm adding the Horten Ho XVIIIB here. A redesign of "Amerika Bomber" : a flying wing with fixed undercarriage  from

http://www.luft46.com/horten/ho18b.html

I found online an interesting drawing with the indication of Projekt 18b. Whats is your opinion? It's a original one? It've a lot more detail against the one in the luft46 site.
I'm attaching the original 3d view from luft46 and a couple of renders.

That's an idea! It'd be interesting to see some modern calculations.

Oh fantastic Mr. Gatial. Brilliant work. Can we see more pictures? Maybe one seen from above? Can I ask which was you're reference material?

Thanks again for "bring it to life".

Fabulous find, Dan - thanks very much for sharing. Interesting not least for the negative point about the lack of mention of RCS-reduction measures. All best, 'Wingknut'.
