My question is, does anybody know anything about this German Vulcan Shipyard proposal of a "Large Air Capable Ship" offered for the Thai Navy but cancelled as proved unsatisfactory design?

I think it's the HC-800P design, which is mentioned here:

Thanks!
I assume these German proposals were made around the same time: 1990-91?

just happen to see this post

the 'unsatisfactory' part was not about the design, but rather the German bureaucracy

the ship was offered to the Thai navy and was declared the winner, but Vulkan company could not get German government's export permission and the program was delayed for half a year when it was cancelled

note that the news says 5000t, but the design was actually 7800t - the name was apparently "CVH01"

according to Thai magazine "Combat Zone", the specs are:

7800t
OTO-made 76mm/62 or FMC-made 127mm (Mk45?)
4x Breda 30mm twin gun
Sea Sparrow (seems to be Mk29 GMLS)
12x Harrier or Sea King
sensors system include WM-series radar (supposedly for 30mm guns) and (seems to be) SPS-49, plus bow sonar
main gun and Sparrow are controlled by what seems to be STIR 1.8

they also studied the possibility of adding ski-jump before the deal was scrapped

If I understand the drawing correctly the armaments are:
1x1 76mm or 127mm Gun as you specified,
2x2 30mm OTO-Breda Sea Cobra CIWS, or maybe the slightly older OTO-Breda Compact?
2x8 RIM-7 Sea Sparrow launchers
