My dear Jemiba,

the amazing think in that Blackburn/General Aircraft research aircraft and its developments, they were intended for E16/49 Specification,in which Armstrong Whitworth AW.58 was also involved.

Prof.G.T.R. Hill was consultant to GAL from 1947-1950.
In this period he designed his 'Transformable delta'.

The AWA 58 was a complete different desing who evolved from a
sweptwing aircraft , over a design with a cranked wing into a delta winged aircraft.
In this last form it became a competitor to the Farey F.D.1.

From : a Ray Williams article in AE nr.43.

Thank you my dear Lark,

for your explanation, and as Tony Butler said; some work to E.16/49 before
concentrated into Blackburn B.90 project.
