You're right hesham, the original DH106 project was a small postal-passenger jet based on the Vampire layout. Lark sent me the original drawing, I produced a sketch from it and Tophe made the beautiful art attached with this post. (It was an example of international cooperative research in the times before secretprojects forum )

A canard layout project also existed an was described and illustrated in Air International. Later, the project evolved into a new concept for a bigger airliner jet and that is the DH.106 Comet that entered History.

I find this one in an old issue of the "Trait d'Union" (a French magazine) from a 3V drawing first published by "Air International".

What is the source of your Comet info?

One of the first Concepts after the one shown us by Pometablava
was a Canard lay-out with the engines grouped in the tail.
After this came a tailless design and an other highly swept winged concept.
Strange they all beared the same D.H Comet designator...
