Guys anyone have "anything" on the Bolton Paul P119 Trainer project?
Ive been through the Flight Archives and obtained a page or 2 but not much.

(Title slightly modified, although I had to notice, that my file names were wrong, too ! ;)

Re: bolton paul p.119

Just three photos, the first two via the now defunct airwarfareforum, the third from
Alec Brew "Boulton Paul Aircraft". In this book it's stated, that the P.119 and the naval
P.119N would have been powered by either a Derwent or a Nene engine. In the end,
the Vampire T.11 took over the task, the P.119 was envisaged for.

Re: bolton paul p.119

Did it have swept wings?

"Did it have swept wings?"

The P.124, which is described as basically similar, but smaller had a very
low sweep angle, so I think, it's the same for the P.119. Completely overlooked
yesterday evening, I'll an article from "The Aeroplane" August 1951, but ...
it doesn't mention this particular point either !

The book "100 Years of Wolverhampton's Airports" by Alec Brew contains a photo of a pre-production Balliol with the P.119 mock-up in the background- the mock-up appears to have its wings folded directly upwards at a fold-point immediately outboard of the main undercarriage- I presume this is representative of the P.119N.

source grade 2, principally made from photos, as the only known (to me) drawing
was faulty (see notes)
