Near Beaconsfield is a picturesque model village called Bekonscot.

It contains amongst other things a model airport. In the 50s and the 60s it was called Northrow and tried to reflect the excitement of the world outside.
Significantly in 1992 it was decided to change the airport to Hanton and return it and the rest of Bekonscot to the halcyon days of the 1930s.
Obviously this made sense as part of Britain's role as Eurodisney.

However I remember visiting this place as a child in the early 60s and in addition to the VC 10 a row of 4 Vulcans in white were positioned on the concrete strip. Sadly my father chose to photgraph a cat sleeping the turret of the castle instead, so I do not have proof of this. Maybe someone out there does?
