Looks more like a guesstimate, the basic layout changed little from when it first went public.

This drawing or configuration was never in the design lineage of the BD-10. I believe Mark is right, it is a guesstimate by an artist.

For those that might find some humor in this, the picture below was posted earlier in this thread.

See the tall dark hair fella standing next to the BD-6. Well that is none other than Burt Rutan. He worked for Bede during the BD-5 and -6 days. All I can say is that is a longggg wayyyy from anything Rutan designed later on.

This is the Litestar. Stan Leitner contracted Jim Bede to design it. Unfortunately, Leitner lost his backside thru the efforts of Jim Bede.

As a side note, the outriggers made life very interesting when they hit a bump or minor obstruction in the road.
