Norwegian CV90s (STING, SPV, Multivogn, OPV and STRILED):

From Reuters

Defence Minister Jana Cernochova said the country wanted 24 F-35s, and talks should be concluded by October next year.

the CV-90 is doing extremely well in exports! being preferred by quite a few European armies over the IFVs from bigger manufacturers in France, Germany and the UK! is it that good?

Only in Europe. Not so well outside of Europe.

It is pretty compact, which has its pros and cons. It does well on soft ground or snow, and you have some good options for what you want to use in the turret.

Also I notice Slovakia has opted for it as well very recently.

Dare I say "...offering firepower and mobility of a Main Battle Tank (MBT) but without the armour protection of one". It could be interesting if something such as this was fitted with something such as Iron Fist hard-kill active protection system as its primary defensive measure and thus be conventionally armoured for nothing more than say a 30mm cannon round.

PL-01 (basically a CV-90120 in fancy dress) was about that: NATO STANAG 4569 Annex A Level 5+ (roughly 30mm APDS) across the frontal arc plus an APS that sure looked like Iron Fist.

I was thinking at MuM type of operation with loyal wingman robot tanks. That way, the heavy turret can be decoupled from the heavy armor protecting and hosting tank operators.

You'd gain dynamic performances (on both ends of the system) , range and missiles carrying ability while lessening crew exposure. Directed datalink, even from an overflying micro-drone acting as data relay, should remain robust against jamming.

Mordvichev noted that the Swedish-made vehicle, which has been in service since 1993, resembles a tank. However, the one captured by the Russian troops was defeated by a “simple and cheap” RPG-7, a shoulder-fired rocket-propelled grenade launcher that has been in use since the 1960s.

“The vehicle was stopped with the tool of our grandfathers,” the commander said.

The donated armor also lacked spare parts and tools for field repair, but did have a kit to indicate an emergency stop, Mordvichev told the minister.

The CV90 is quite tall, making it a relatively easy target, and its main weapon has a relatively low rate of fire because of its reloading mechanism, according to the Russian military.

The vehicle captured by the Russian troops appears to be armed with the Bofors 40/70 autocannon. It fires 40mm cartridges, which are fed through a magazine that has three separate compartments for three different ammunition types, with total capacity of 24 rounds. The magazine is loaded manually.

Remotely operated non armored tank would make sense. Just add an APS.
So, not a TANK then? Not armoured is not a tank. Unmanned is a UACV. Running that sort of thing remotely is as been stated a mission to madness. You cannot recover damaged units and the C&C alone would be a nightmare.

There has been much research done on the use/deployment of support/ant tank vehicels/recce vehicles and they usually come out as MORE vulnerable when given larger weaponry. Not much value in that when your investment is an oily smoke pillar somewhere on the FEBA.

We do need to consider the recce and support roles and the format of the tank and other AFV but that monstrosity, 'aint the solution.
