Hi,

in 1932,the Czechoslovakia Air Force issue a contest for two seat recce aircraft
capable to use also as a light bomber to replace Aero A.11 & Ap.32 and Letov
S-16 from service,four main companies submitted a proposals,Aero A.100 (the
winner),CKD-Praga E-36,Letov S-38 and Avia B-42.

For Avia B-42,I haven't any more Info or drawing to it,and I think it remained
a drawing board only,who can help ?.

This profile of the B-42 is from Československá Letadla (1918-1945). The blurb next to it read "Two-seater high-wing Avia B-42 was to be built in 1933 as a counterpart of type A-100 and BH-36"

Quite welcome. Sorry I didn't have more but the book makes no further mention (that I can find) of the B-42 outside of the little blurb beside the profile.

Thank you my dear Hikoki very much.

Managed to find a bit more information. There were four competitors, Aero A-100, Letov S-38, Avia B-42, and Praga BH-36. All of these, at the start of the competition, remained design drafts and proposals. The MNO chose the A-100 and the BH-36 to proceed so this confirms that the B-42 remained a paper project only.
