JPATS competition

This is a pic I received from LTV Public Relations in 1990. I was in Texas at the time, when these aircraft, dubbed Gato and Macha flew overhead. My camera? in the trunk of the car, with the rest of my luggage!!

Cessna's entry is presently sitting outside at the Kansas Aviation Museum in Wichita, Kansas. Attractive aircraft and considering it being outside, still in good shape. More than can be said for the Beech Jet Mentor which has recently been moved to the back storage lot. Wish the Beechcraft Heritage Museum would take it.

IA-63's Tour in America

Two articles on the IA-63 Pampa and the JPATS program published in Aeroespacio Magazine Number 465, September - October 1988

For some reason I don't know, in Argentina they thought the best candidate for the JPATS program was the FMA IA-63 Pampa, and the local press made sure to publicize that.
