According to Fighterbomber apparently large numbers (the translation seems to be "fantastic" numbers) of Su-57 and Su-34 were delivered to VKS.

The stream of Su-34Ms is definitely a continous one. As for Su-57, I suppose this means the units allocated for Algeria have been completed.

Well, "fantastic" numbers means likely just more than the typical 2-4 per batch and "were delivered to VKS" refers presumably to the 23rd GvIAP?!

Contract between Russian and India about Su-57E is nearing. Now, it is on the level of the technical consultations.

Come on! Do you know how long usually alone negotiations for a contract let alone time until signature takes in India? :p

Hehe, yes, I wrote that ''contract is nearing''. Who knows, maybe this year, next year, next couple of years.Example and comparison.... India negotiated to buy Su-30MKI from 1994. First contract was signed during 1996.
We will see what will happen with Su-57E, hope it will happen soon .:)

Good thing the Russians learned to not trust India too much.

Yeah there were rumors of the first 2026 batch having izd30 engines. Was hoping to see it. I could be wrong but I think we might see the new engine equipped su57 at the very end of this year. Whether it has the new nozzles I am not sure but I sure hope it does. The new engine equipped su57 will be up there with seeing the catobar assisted J15 takeoff in utterly awesome defense developments. (Another one i am excited for is seeing the J15 with full anti shipping and air to air missiles as it gets yeeted from the fujian. Imo it will be the pinnacle of the flanker fighter.)

Su-57M will be about much more than just the engine. And I fail to see what makes the J-15T quite special, achieving capabilities the Super Hornet and Rafale had for years.

It's almost certainly overall the most advanced flanker in electronic sense - more so than J-16. Nothing more, nothing less.

Some details about Su-57E from Dmitry Aronov.

''Su-57E key features has been disclosed by Dmitry Aronov, Chief of the Team of the Advanced Projects Department of the Sukhoi Design Bureau at Dubai Airshow 2025.''

Some interesting claims there (including a claim of more efficient super cruise than the F-22 if the translation is accurate). Customisation of the weapon bays and a suggestion that the internal bays can have fuel tanks added is something new to me. I wonder what the range would be with external tanks and two of the internal bays given over to additional internal fuel?

India better get it's act together soon with the possibility of the Su-57E order or it will be left behind the rest of the world in regards to modern fighters.

Exactly ,because first , until 2030 ,PLAAF will have several hundreds of super-modern and very capable stealth 5th gen fighters. IAF will have maybe zero of them. Second, IAF Su-30MKI even armed only with AAM's is like a 'airlifter' when we talk about forward RCS. We must keep on mind what UkrAF pilot Capt. Andrey Gerus said after he mistakenly shot down his collegue in the fully armed Su-27 (Maj. Stepan Chobanu was KIA btw) . He thought that he engaged Russian Il-76MD! During 'Oper. Sindoor' on May 2025 , those Su-30MKI were engaged by the PAF J-10C with PL-15E from almost 200km away thanks to that 'airlifter's RCS'.

Good thing the Russians learned to not trust India too much.

Keep on mind what happened e.g. with loaned nuclear submarine INS Chakra.

Hm, Su-57I with Product 177S not 177 ,interesting...There is also question, how many AESA's will have that Su-57I. Maybe only four instead of eight like it was first presented on the Su-57E ( 057 blue) .

I think there is Patent doc. about those fuel tanks developed for the FWC's ?

With the PTB-2000 underwing fuel tanks .

With the PTB-3400 UFT's .

If this pic is indeed recent, its a shame they're not shipping either of the next-gen engines.

Maybe it was made during Dec. 2023 delivery ?

They have two flying prototypes so far, 058 and 511 blue. Yes, they have the first stage engines but there is info that serial ones will have completely new VCE /three stream engines. We will see that. There is also modified Sh-121M MIRES with its combat systems and subsystems.Let us remind, OKB Sukhoi chief test pilot Sergey Bogdan achieved several test flights in the complete automatic mode where he did absolutely nothing ,from the take off until landing.

I got a problem, and it can only get fixed by flankers and felons (and well dang near any piece of soviet cold war kit). I blame it on the old wings of the red star series. I got to go back and watch them all again...

Hey guys! Sorry for going off-topic, but I'm trying to find the "final" dimensions of the Su-57. Does anyone have any info to share? Thanks in advance!
