I don't think that it is very long range stealth subsonic cruise missile as it is mentioned. Why would they developed another missile such as Kh-101 with conventional warhead and the Kh-102 with nuclear warhead with their max launch ranges 5000-6000km or maybe even more.My opinion ( maybe not right) ,that Izdeliye 506 is the new hypersonic cruise missile something like naval based 3M22 Tsyrkon.
- Modernised Kh-101 with larger conventional warhead 900-1000 kg ( current warhead is 450 kg ) and improved guidance/ECM suite and Kh-BD will form the core weapon of new and modernised Tu-160 fleet , replacing the older Kh-555, A Nuclear variant of Kh-101 exist with better LO Profile.
Modernised Kh-101 with heavier warhead will have less max range ,maybe in the level of older Kh-55SM.Kh-102 will never be used (we hope so) .
- New Hypersonic Air Launched missile the GZUR air-launched hypersonic missile (code-named "Gremlin" ) projected to achieve over Mach 6 speeds with a range of approximately 1,500–2,000 km

We know that there is Bort number 23 red and w/o lost 01 and non-existent 13 red, that is in total 21 aircraft. We must count on that one or max two aircraft are on the main or general overhaul which lasts 18 months if I remember well. As mentioned earlier , must find what is going on with aircraft with serial number 8-05. Than Bort number of the 'Petr Deynikin' with ser No 8-04 and Valentina Tereshkova ser No 9-01.

Thanks, btw ,we don't know yet ,is it subsonic,supersonic or even hypersonic cruise missile.There is only speculation and assumptions. Yes, Izvestiya ( authors of the article Anton Lavrov and Aleksey Ram ) ,wrote about that new cruise missile and gave some details. MKB Raduga is developer and producer and there is that Izdeliye 37R as the modification of the famous small sized turbo-jet engine TRDD-50 , powered by modified T-10 'Detsilin-M' aviation fuel. TRDD-50 is used in the cruise missile like Kh-55/SM,Kh-555 ,Kh-101/102 and Calibr naval cruise missiles.

If this is right ,hm, than Izdeliye 506 is also some kind of the new subsonic very long range CM.

If we compare that new missile from paralay's photo with this where we can see six Kh-101's ,all I can say is that new 'thing' is not big but huge.

So we have data that aircraft with ser No 8-04 had its first test flight during December 2017. It is aircraft named after Petr Deynekin. There is no data/photo about its Bort number so far.

In that moment VVS-DA ( today VKS), had in total 16 Tu-160's + that new aircraft=17. Note ,on 25 Jan 2018 contract was signed for the serial production of 10 new Tu-160M (M2) from 9th and 10th series with 5 aircraft in each of them for 160 billion rubles ( about 2.85 billion $ or 285 mil $ cost per unit then).

Aircraft with ser No 8-05 is somehow mysterious. It was in fact prototype of the Tu-160M(M2). Site' bmpd' mentioned that it had its first test flight on 12 January 2022, ''presumed serial number 8-05'' as it was written.

Obviosly it was wrong because thanks to some details inside of the air intakes ( yellow and green paint combo) , we can see that it was aircraft with serial No 9-01 , later named after Valentina Tereshkova which had its first test fligth on that day.

Now photo of this same Bort made during Oct. this year ,two years later .If this photo is OK, than it is not right that Tu-160M Valentina Tereshkova was handed over to VKS during Feb 2024.
We can read here that 9-01 was aircraft named after Valentina Tereshkova ( got that name during Feb 2023) with the Bort number 21 red and reg. number RF-66017.

Also we can see that 9-02 ( first test flight July 2023) and 9-03 are 22 and 23 red.
We have info that two new Tu-160M were delivered during 2024 and two more during this year.They can only be Bort No 20,21,22 and 23 red where Bort 20 red is maybe one with ser No 8-05 ( as prototype of the Tu-160M ). So we need more accurate /precise info/data about aircraft No : 20,21,22 and 23 red and one with serial No 8-05.
