I still think the "white shark" camo looked the best, the digital camo isn't bad, but this is much cleaner

Great white shark ....;)

Amazing how far apart, and how small, the (mostly) vertical tails are compared to those of the Su-27/J-11 families of fighters.

Exactly and those vertical stabilizers (fins) are all-movable where the effective removal surface is larger than in the case of vertical stabilizers on FFF (Flanker Family Fighters). By what they are fully movable, due to which the aerodynamic drag is much lower and of course the RCS is lower than on FFF.

I find it rather interesting that later heavy fifth generation fighters like the Su-57 and J-20 opted for all moving vertical stabilizers, while the older F-22 has conventional control surfaces.

... well, the "newer" J-35 again has "conventional control surfaces" like the F-22. IMO it depends on other factors and is not just old vs new.

J-35 and F-35 are medium weight designs though.

I suspect KAAN is an outlier, but again rather close to F-22 in design.

Was this already posted?
Essentially meaning that contrary to popular belief, the radome of the Su-57 is not only canted but in fact serrated as well.

Man I hope the big news is Su-57M but it will probably be an Algerian Su-57.

Will still be cool to see what changes Algeria wanted done to the Su-57E. Their Su-34 is apparently better than the one the VVS uses.

When I saw the image of the 'sun', the first thought that came to my mind was that 'it looks like a typical RCS scattering plot'. And given that the 'sun' is at the rear of the PAK-FA , are we supposed to interpret it to mean that they are reducing the rear aspect RCS in a major way (since George N keeps on harping on the word 'major'). Or am I just over-imagining things?

Really old shot (2018-19?) but quite atmospheric. From RP originally, I believe. Just stumbled upon it as I was browsing old files.

Why is no one talking about this?
bort no.s 508 and 511 were the ones known for megapolis project earlier
But seeing the grills from the sides of the intakes, it seems its a first stage T-50.
From the livery and radomes, one can tell its a 054
054 wasnt in megapolis project earlier, but seems so now it is, given the logo on the back.

edit: 052 is also for megapolis

Info's are one the previous page. ;)

Well that didn't mention T-50-4

Yes,it seems that '054 blue' is for the testing the weapons for the Su-57M ( so called OKR 'Megapolis', ОКР, опытно-конструкторская работя «Мегаполис» ). '511 blue' and '058 blue' as the first and second flying prototypes are obviously for the testing of the new/modernised avionics. '052 blue' is of course for the testing of the new engine.

I mean they used the same instrument for a mig-25; but being a digital instrument I figure they would make it go to the actual top speed .

What does the yellow stroke indicate?

the funny shaped one are the side looking L-Band radars, and the dotted one I'm not quite sure but possibly the same but in narrow search mode

AFAIK he's implying first foreign export delivery rumoured to be Algeria.

I had wanted to proudly declare a while ago: “the first export delivery of 57 has happened!”, but as there are no visual or public proofs so far, statements like these are worthless to the community.I really don’t want to turn into a posting account which is based on trust only

Su-57 has in fact two X-band AESA N036B as SLAR with azimuthal FoV 120° or +/-60°.

Four decimetric L-band AESA N036L in the LEVCON's and wingslats have azimuthal FoV of 110° (+/-55°) each.

It's being prepared for air show duty. I wonder if it will replace T-50-4 in that role. Given that T-50-4 must've racked up plenty of flight hours and the airframe has been regularly stressed.

It seems that T-50-4 is used for the weapons testing in the Su-57M/ 'Megapolis' program.
