here is a drawing to Hongdu L-15 single seat light attack version appeared in the January 2008 issue
of the Chinese magazine Shipborne Weapons.

If you are talking about Y-6, the Third Ministry of Machine Building wanted to concentrate resources on Y-7.

and there was also L-11,it was a variant of JL-8 powered by the WS-11 turbofan (Ivchenko AI-25 TLK
produced under license in China). Approximately 100 aircraft delivered to PLAAF.

Considering that this aircraft relies on Ukrainian engines, does this mean that the order will be cancelled ?

This really affects China as well with their large fleet of L-15 trainers. It's obvious that the supply of engines for this aircraft is going to be severely interrupted, if not cut off entirely. The article below claims there is a Chinese powerplant available but is still in testing. Does anyone have any more info on how soon a Chinese engine can be retrofitted to this design ?

I not sure if the Slovak DV-2 or Russian RD-35 version is currently available with an afterburner? Early L-15s used a dry thrust DV-2. Also, will Slovakia still supply the Chinese?

L15 is using AL-222-25 turbofan engine, that is one that has afterburning and allows L15 to reach maximum speed of Mach 1.4 ...

Russia has been producing that engine entirely in-house since 2015.

Yes, but the afterburning version used by the L-15 is the AI-222-25F. And there are political issues with Russian sourcing at the moment.

There is no but this, but that, Russia produces AL-222-25 and just because they don't say AL-222-25F doesn't mean that they aren't capable of producing it as AL-222-25 is a variant of AL-222-25F and not entirely different turbofan engine. 25F has addition of afterburner stage.

At the JL-10 production factory, reporters photographed a new twin-tail aircraft, likely a new trainer aircraft based on the JL-10.

Above are patents for that is assumed for this new trainer(It seems the actual prototype have a flatter canopy) and below are pictures of the prototype that was spotted in an assembly hangar at Hongdu's plant. This aircraft's fuselage and design is distinctly different than the JL-10 suggesting it's a completely new aircraft rather than a JL-10 modification with twin canted stabilizers. Also note the dual wheeled front gear suggesting a dedicated carrier-based trainer and it also seems to include a bit of LO in its design.

It seems baffling to me that the cockpit is not staggered in height like on other jet trainers.
Is it meant to favor aerodynamics sacrificing visibility for the back seater towards the front seat?
