The 17th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) in Istanbul showcases the advancements of the Turkish defense industry, with the Ministry of National Defense R&D Center (MSB AR-GE) being a key exhibitor. The center, though not widely known, plays a critical strategic role for Türkiye. Nilüfer Kuzulu, head of MSB AR-GE, highlighted that their work, spanning 12 years, has been discreet due to ongoing processes like product completion, certification, and qualification.

A major highlight is the Penetrator Bomb (NEB) developed by MSB AR-GE, which has completed its final qualification and certification. Unlike standard NEBs in Türkiye’s inventory, which penetrate about 1.8 meters, this new NEB penetrated 7 meters of C50 concrete reinforced with 22 mm ribbed steel during tests in December 2024 at the HABRAS facility. It also passed through 1.5 tons of additional concrete and reached a sandpit. In flight tests, it penetrated approximately 90 meters of rocky terrain, surpassing expectations.

The NEB is fully qualified, NATO-standard certified, and ready for inventory use. Kuzulu emphasized that MSB AR-GE’s work will become more prominent, with more products to be revealed in the future.

I'm assuming airborne tests, since it's already been disclosed that some ground-based launch tests have been completed.

According to the original schedule, airborne tests were set to be conducted by 2025, with delivery by 2027.

This missile is quite a bit longer than Roketsan's Gökbora and is liquid-fueled. I wonder what its CONOPS will be...

I wish that, instead of two different ramjets, we'd at least gotten a dual-pulse equivalent.

The PL-15, for example, has a higher top speed than the Meteor and also a longer maximum range. Apparently, Ramjets also bleed energy much faster once they burn out. The Meteor barely outranges the latest AMRAAMs despite being considerably bigger.

The existence of VLO aircraft means time-to-target and agility at shorter distances are more important.

So, I wish we'd also developed something for this, instead of two different ramjets that do the same job.

Roketsans deep knowledge on dual-pulse propulsion, with the development of HISAR series of SAM, would have thought they would have utilised that know-how. Ah well, perhaps we may see it in block updates for Turkey's AIM-9 and AIM-120 equivalents ?

GOKSUR point defence missile. Weighs more than I would have thought, Levent competing point defence system by Roketsan weighs in at 75kg.
15 km effective range should be 20 km max range. Akyol gave it "16-20km band" range.

In high-altitude, high speed air-to-air engagement it could mean up to 60 km max range.

"Turkish President Erdogan: Today, we are laying the first concrete for the Oğulbey Technology Base. With an investment of 1.5 billion dollars, it will be one of the largest industrial investments in recent years. It will be the largest single defense industry investment ever made.

It will become Europe’s largest integrated air defense facility."

It was also stated that this facility would more then double production of Air Defence Missile systems

Roketsan General Manager Murat İkinci:
“In the coming period, we will be talking about threats moving at speeds exceeding Mach 5 and air defense systems developed to counter them. It can be said that hypersonic threats will be the main element in the defense industry ecosystem of the world in the coming period. As Roketsan, we are also carrying out significant work in this field.”

Does anyone have dimensions, warhead and range for Tayfun, Tayfun Blk4, Cenk and Bora? There's some conflicting information about.

X post by Turkish Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır announces the successful test of the SOM-J cruise missile, developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE and Roketsan - "In the firing test where the challenging maneuver capabilities aimed at evading defense and radar systems and the ability to fly very close to the surface were demonstrated, SOM-J proved itself."

Addition of proximity sensor pretty much gives Roketsan's portfolio of laser guided missiles line-of-sight anti-air capability and guidance kits airburst capability without additional electronics and sensors, saving on weight and cost.

Not heard much about the ER-300 unless I missed it but it seems like a very useful missile, looks like an air-launched 300mm rocket.

Intended for fighter jets and UCAVs, 300 ER can reach a range of 500+ km, depending on launch conditions, which goes way beyond the range of UAV-230 at 150+ km. Of course, this much difference in range would also mean 300 ER can reach equally higher speeds, perhaps approaching the hypersonic regime due to the air launch trajectory.

Are there any plans to get an air-to-air variant of that, like the AIM-174B (SM-6)?
Possibly for a Missile Truck approach with Typhoons (maybe F-16s) as supporters for the Kaan?
I don't think so. Siper Block-2 is 6.3 meters long, has a diameter of 42 cm, and weighs well over one ton. The Gunslinger is 4.7 meters in length, has a 34 cm diameter, and weighs around ~850 kg.
