Motocar's Cutaway drawings

[Motocar]

There isn't any data to give, it is merely that they live in the region and have an interest in aircraft and would enjoy learning of this plane and enjoy the cutaway illustration.

Ok, thanks, I thought it was something in particular.

Cutaway McDonnell Douglas TA-4 SU Super Skyhawk, the strange version of the A4-SU fighter trainer of the Singapore Air Force, modifications made by the local company Singapore Aircraft Industries, with an elongated fuselage to install a second cabin but completely separated after the original, giving it an unattractive but very original appearance and perfectly valid for its mission of training pilots in that system, author Mike Badrocke and modified by Motocar.

Cutaway Douglas A4D prototype of what would ultimately be called "Scooter", an attack aircraft that would fill the history books of aerial combat, seeing action in Vietnam, the Middle East and the Malvinas, here I leave you an early interpretation of that prototype from the mid-1950s, its author being the illustrator R. Turner, retouched by Motocar to unite both images

Cutaway I.A.R.80 Jumo 211, the only aircraft built as a prototype after being modified to install a 12-cylinder "V" Jumo 211 engine, sought to have greater power than with the LeRohne 14 radial engine, only that solitary example was built, the Soviet advance and The end of the Second World War ended with the initiative to give the Romanian military aviation a higher performance fighter due to the availability of Jumo 211 engines that equipped the Heinkel He-111 bombers, author not indicated and modified by Motocar to recreate this unknown Romanian project.

Motocar

@AIRTUFA21 Could you please modify/repost your reply in English? I don't use auto-translate on this site, your reply is presented in Italian to me.

[AIRTUFA21]

Sure, sorry I'll translate my message right away: hello, I believe this interesting cutaway was published in color in an aviation magazine in the 70s and then appeared in the book titled "Tupolev Tu-144: The Soviet Supersonic Airlainer". Undoubtedly the unknown author made several mistakes, including - perhaps - the wrong location of the tanks. It would be nice if you could to post his corrected variant in the future. My dream would be to admire a cutaway of the Boeing 2707-300 latest version. Thanks for posting the cutaway.

I have been searching for quite some time without success for the schematic section of the Grumman J2F-5 "Duck" amphibious utility plane. I would be very grateful if a friend could share it with me here. Motocar

Tupolev Tu-144 section, unidentified author and retouched, I will modify it soon to fix a large number of defects, for example the size of the wheels and their number, the length of the engines, and I will add the design of the air intake and its duct next to the real landing gear bay much more compact. Tribute. I just found out about the passing of Mike Badrocke on 9/24/2024 at 9:58 am Venezuela time.
I modestly confess that his work inspired me a lot, remember I am self-taught in this type of drawings that I do more out of passion for aviation than for economic benefits. Thank you Mike for your work and teachings. Rest in peace knowing that you were the light that illuminated a path for many followers.
A life with a long and prolific work, full of achievements shared through unpublished images in each of his works, the development of great techniques to make his iconic images in his spectacular works.

Cutaway Miles M-20, the desperate fighter along with the Martin Baker MB-1, were simple and robust fighters that had fixed landing gear but still adequate performance for the purpose of equipping the RAF with hundreds of fighters to face the imminent Nazi threat of the invasion of the British Isles, they were armed with a battery of 8 7.62 mm machine guns that would give them great firepower at the cost of having to get close to their opponent (who were not heavily armed either initially only the Bf-109 had a 20 mm cannon in the hub), fear became reality and with the help of radar it was possible to face the waves of Nazi fighters and bombers, optimizing the use of their fighters that included the Hurricane and Spitfire. From my old paper files, ideas from the 90's about a racing ramjet, I only left it in those blurry strokes, I had studied that type of propulsion (which I am still studying today), maybe later I will take it up again and give it a well-deserved schematic cut...! Motocar

If you can provide the source, looks like a Mike Badrocke's drawing for Air International I could check my collection to see if I have that issue

Here ya go:

Many thanks JimK for taking the time to scan and share the MiG-19 Cutaway that I had been looking for for so long. Needless to say, it is fantastic and in excellent resolution. I will be able to compare it with that first and rough modification that I made back in 2011. I really appreciate that you shared it with me. From now on, it will be in my file among my favorite schematic cuts. Motocar

Thank you very much Antonio for the offer, not insignificant and much appreciated. My friend JimK was kind enough to share this desired and elusive MiG-19PM schematic cutaway. I will keep your offer in mind in the future when searching for a new one. Thank you

Repost from another thread

Greetings blairpilot and thanks for reminding me of this work in progress... I have it on my to-do list due to the lack of data on the landing gear kinematics and the lack of some digital tools that will help me finish it soon, for now I'll share how it's going...! Motocar

Post data is a purely speculative work

Off topic, early pre-WWI airplanes, innovative aircraft in some sense and not always successful, the first one presents us with the Breguet III biplane for three people and with an autonomy of up to 7 hours and a striking fixed tricycle landing gear, the Coanda and its innovative propulsion system using a primitive propellerless engine with air thrust, predecessor of the jets, The Antoinette Lathan Monobloc an attempt to create a carefully faired and aerodynamic up to its landing gear, a monoplane that was underpowered and could not fly and the Desperdussin Corsa monoplane, a high-speed monoplane that flew in 1912 reaching 209 km/h, an achievement possible thanks to the care in the details of a careful aerodynamics that reduced drag, clearly visible in its engine fairing and the propeller nose and its braced wings. shared from an old post

On many occasions I have had to do a work almost of Aeronautical "Archaeology" and in other areas, trying to recreate airplanes that not even those who thought or built them made, for example the last two recreations of FMA airplanes, as well as the unknown Auto Bolido of the Peruvian Pedro Paulet, or the Bocono I of the self-taught Venezuelan innovator Vicente Zambrano, the Tortuga armored car or the Mosquito mini-submarine of Lieutenant Commander Palmieri, in the subject there are several examples of that meticulous research work to recreate those forgotten projects in the long history of technical and technological innovation.
