The modernization of Komsomolsk-on-Amur aircraft plant (KnAAZ) for the serial production of Su-57 fighters will be completed by 2024.

"Under the program of re-armament for a fifth-generation aircraft, all the planned facilities should be commissioned by 2024," deputy general director of Sukhoi - director of KnAAZ Alexander Pekarsh said during an interview with the factory newspaper Wings of the Soviets.

According to him, the plant is systematically equipping the assembly and assembly shops with additional stands and equipment for assembly, including unique swivel slipways designed specifically for the construction of the Su-57.

Things are certainly looking good for the Su-57 in 2021.
 
22 by 2024 and 76 by 2027. So I am assuming that this is all 1st stage production and that there has to be a separate contract for the 2nd stage version, with new avionics and weapons?

No. Сontract for the 76 units provides delivering both versions. Second stage from ~2023 when izd. 30 complete state tests.
 
So 22 1st stage, than 54 2nd stage because the Megapolis project for the 2nd version ends in 2024.

when they say several dozen Al-41F1 engines I am assuming they are talking about the 76 su-57 contract and that a separate order has to be made. Unless you have received some information that has been changed after Jun 25, 2020? I am really looking forward to the new air to air loadout along with what kind of avionics it will receive besides the engines.

Don't know what you mean by the "second stage", but I am - Su-57 with a second stage engine(izd.30). Modernized Su-57 with new avionics more correctly called Su-57M, not "second stage".

I guess English to Russian translation is a pain to follow on what I write but it seems that the Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko said before the mid 2020's 2nd stage engine purchase is to take place, that several dozen aircrafts(assuming he is talking about the 76 su-57 order) will have AL-41F1 engines and to me that is a 1st stage engine which basically he is implying that the 76 aircraft will be 1st stage engines and that a separate order with the izdelie 30s has to be made in the mid-2020s and I am assuming that is after project megapolis is finished with the 2nd stage engines, new avionics, etc, etc.

This source came from June 25, 2020 but I am trying to figure out where you got the information that the 1st order was going to be 1st stage and 2nd stage engines for 76 aircrafts, when it seems that Alexei Krivoruchko is making it sound like all 76 aircrafts will have 1st stage engines if I am reading that source right?

They are reporting the delivery of the first unit (the one that was unofficially delivered to GLITs last December) this year, so does that mean that there will be four units besides that one in 2021, as we were already expecting? Or is it five units to be delivered yet?

Well it looks like Felon is coming of age.

And like what Chief Test pilot, Sergei Bodgan said; "this bird has enormous potencial for improvments and upgrade".

That the final engine is still years away, just tell volume for this whole program. Sukhoi/Rostec and all the sub vendors are fully commited.
Most likely the Felon is not the only jet that will have this new engine. Long laid plans and all that jazz.

Also Kind of a middle Finger to the foreign pressure and Sanction placed upon Sukhoi/Rostec.
 
... or the colour is precisely because of the coating. The unpainted RAM on some of the prototypes had this weird greenish cyan colour (a bit like my av in fact :D):

Some strange things I noticed: for some reason the serial is blurred, and the forward half of the h-stabs now apparently has a metal skin, as on the Su-35 (though obviously painted)?
 
Found some information don't know if its old or new here, I just want some more insight about it.

I have noticed on the 2nd image that it says Sh-121M when usually the radars for the Su-57 are stated as just Sh-121. Usually the Russians labeled the T-72M for monkey model variants and usually they labeled the Ka-52M in development to be better than the Ka-52. So upgraded radar or any information how they designate military equipment with letters?
 
Is that one in the Levcon edge also L-band ? If so it's kinda make me think why having 2 pairs of L-band arrays facing essentially the same direction.

The array in wingtips tbh looks more suitable for a self protection Cross Eye jamming purpose as it provides the widest point in the airframe. For maximizing error on enemy radar, about 4 wingspans. approaching Incoming radar missiles would have about 56 m of additional miss distance, that would considerably reduce damage probability from explosion or the missile would simply miss.
 
They are, tho if one also put jammer array there. one would encounter problem related to isolating the jammer emission from the ESM.

the EA-18G did it that way by putting the ESM pod at wingtips so they can have some distance from the 4 powerful ALQ-99's
 
I was also under the impression that some ESM bearing finding methods worked best with the widest separation between sensors. I think it involved interferometry and phase, in the case of the F-18G?
 
Given that they had serious problem with the wing flexural modes (redesign of the wing box from CFRP to metal), I very much doubt that this was part of any design priority.
I haven't seen it myself pictured at least.

Source is from 2015, So I guess its safe to assume the Su-57 has newer radars which is why the encryption software stated Sh-121M.

The wingtip antennas are for the L402 Himalayas EW subsystem. This is part of the Sh-121 system along with the 5 arrays of the NO36 Byelka radar.

There is also a Himalayas installation in the rear tailcone according to Piotr Butowski.
