The brands/makers I know from memory all used round top stab/rudder designs.

Given the presence on the right of the photo of what might, I repeat might, be a Fairchild PT-19 sold to a civilian user, it is possible the photo was taken after the end of the Second World War?

Zooming into the rudder, I can make out what seems to be either an 8 or a 3 with the last two numbers looking like a 2 and a 4 if that helps
