As an amateur, I believe wing warping is old hat now. BAE are looking at the future with air 'jets' is the best way I can describe it. Maintaining wing stiffness.
Drones might be better off with the warped wing but I would not want to transit in a ten year old (Or older) passenger craft that deliberately warps it's lifting surfaces.
That or 10,000 years from now (assuming people are still here and still have technology)...we will see aircraft in the sky that look no different than today's planes.
Evolution and fluid dynamics did that to sharks for hundreds of millions of years though.
Twin-jets and Falcons---making aerospace boring is job one.
