Just a guess about guidance - use off-line google maps and camera?

I would be shocked if it was anything more complicated than a commercial GPS/INS unit.

The lengths look all wrong there based on earlier photos of the D. It looked shorter than Long Neptune. Long Neptune was also wider diameter than it.
Which new Ukrainian missile is he referring too?Take this with a grain of salt.

Great analysis, and this is before Firepoints other systems which I think are going to cause much much more issues than the FP-5.Very interesting. The well respected french aviation expert Xavier Tytelman thinks the same.

What other systems?
https://united24media.com/latest-ne...c-missiles-building-on-flamingo-success-11381Ballistic missiles (FP-9, from memory). Firepoint is going all-out on many different strike systems, with a very real risk of getting overstreched.
FP-9 is a longer-range system capable of reaching targets up to 855 kilometers away, flying at 2,200 meters per second, and carrying an 800-kilogram warhead to altitudes of up to 70 kilometers.
I’ve been told that the fAB series actually skips 1000 and goes from 500 to 1500.In regards to the FP-5 Flamingo's warhead compartment perhaps a different design for it could be created so that it can hold either a modified FAB-1000 warhead, Mk-84 warhead or the BLU-109 warhead.

I would guess some Soviet vintage bomb is used off the shelf for cost and sovereignty issues
Ukraine's FP-5 Flamingo missile boasts a massive 1.15-ton warhead, built largely from repurposed materials. This long-range cruise missile, with a reported 3,000km range, utilizes a unique antenna system for jamming resistance. Despite its impressive firepower, the Flamingo's vulnerabilities are explored.
This is quite big news, US companies could possibly provide components if FirePoint gets US shareholders.
Had come here to share this. Surprised this wasnt taken into account in early development or maybe the source of the data could have changed due to changes in political atmosphere in the West. Wonder if this gap is being achieved through open source data+partnership with certain Western countries.
but Russian AD is non trivial.
President Zelensky shared recent accuracy figures for Ukraine’s FP-5 Flamingo and (Long-)Neptune missiles. He said that in the latest use of five Flamingo missiles, one hit its target while four were shot down by Russian air defenses, but performance is improving “month by month,” he said to Ukrinform.Zelensky also noted that the Ruta missile, built with foreign partners, has been effective when used, but remains limited in number due to technical issues, especially with engines and funding.Regarding Neptune missiles, he reported that their hit rate has gone from “good” to “very good.”
