In regards to the FP-5 Flamingo's warhead compartment perhaps a different design for it could be created so that it can hold either a modified FAB-1000 warhead, Mk-84 warhead or the BLU-109 warhead.

I’ve been told that the fAB series actually skips 1000 and goes from 500 to 1500.

I've looked around on the internet and there definitely is a FAB-1000. The reason I made my suggestion is that it would expand the available pool of warheads for the FP-5.
 
Sorry, I should have been more specific - there are/were FAB-1000s, but I think not of the relatively low drag M62 variety. The one picture I have seen of the bomb sticking out of the nose of an incomplete missile airframe seemed streamlined like it was M62, or possibly even mk84, though I do not know if the pic had been altered or if it was representative of all production missiles assuming it was a real. I would guess some Soviet vintage bomb is used off the shelf for cost and sovereignty issues, but I have only heard it described as “1 ton”.

This is great news, now if we can get updates on the 7 produced per day goal, last I heard they were missing some funding. Seems this FP-5 +long range neptune will be the core of their subsonic cruise missile arsenal. Also interesting that now production will focus on ballistic missile production possibly another FP style device

This is quite big news, US companies could possibly provide components if FirePoint gets US shareholders.

They might be already for all we know. It is not a weapon with a low signature; it might have issues penetrating defenses. We also do not know there are enough to use in mass. Ukr production numbers seem rather hard to believe, else there should be several dozen available almost every month..
 
I suspect that when Ukraine does start to use the FP-5 in large numbers those missiles would likely be preceded by drones to degrade and strip away any air-defence assets protecting the FP-5s target (The Yelabuga facility for example will very likely have its' own dedicated anti-aircraft systems such as the SA-15 Gauntlet, SA-21 Growler and SA-22 Greyhound SAMs).​
 
I am sure that will be the goal, but Russian AD is non trivial.

True but I suspect that the Ukrainians would deal with that issue when a target such as, say, the Shahed drone-factory by sending in several waves of drones (Including the FP-1) to first degrade and strip away all of the SAM batteries in the way before sending in the FP-5s.

On another note I wonder if Ukraine is developing a submunition cluster warhead for the FP-5? That would be handy for attacking airfields or troop formations for example.​
 
Claims by two propaganda outlets .do not mean any actually hit anything or were used at all , remember Flamingo was promoted as 3000km range missile what is the point in using them inside atacms range.
You could say it confirms what Petro said , it exists ,launches impressively , few are built ,can't hit shit and its mostly PR.It definitely does not refute what Petro former president of Koruptistan said.
