After lessons learned from incursion into Syria. Turkey sought out to develop ways in which to increase survivability of it's MBTs

For one it extends the tank's horizon, so it can spot target at longer range. This and if the tank is equipped with sort of Beyond line of sight weapon, it would be lethal.

Yep this. 120mm Gun Launched Missile is being developed in-accordance with new capabilities gained. What it also means is that the tank can designate targets from ground level so that air assets can surviel or target areas of concern
