This was a derivative of/successor to the Tu-22M3.

If is not a VG wing airframe, i would say it could be a worthy evolution

If is a VG like the Tu-22...i don't think it would have reached operational status

I can't tell if is VG or if is not

Very interesting planform mated to what appears to be an otherwise standard M3 fuselage. Very interesting all-around, I wonder what the performance would be (the wing planform almost looks hypersonic)
 
This aircraft had swing wings. The plane discussed in the thread is the 45M, not the '245', because the '245' designation may have been assigned to the Tupolev Tu-22M4 proposal according to Appendix One of Soviet Secret Projects: Bombers Since 1945 (which could make sense because '245' was assigned in the same decade as the Tu-230/260 designation).
