Hi,

in 1938,and as development for Tupolev MK-1 by TsAGI,they designed high-shoulder-wing
four engined twin fuselage flying boat project, with a looks like delta wing with large area
dimension and gross 54 ton, very strange concept.

Original source for above three-view arrangement was Russian magazine Polygon dated March 2003.

Looks interesting. I'm surprised there weren't more twin-hulled flying boats, as the idea gets rid of all the problems of either floats (floats mean LOTS of drag), tip floats, or sponsons without too many newly introduced problems.

I don't like the wing, though: there doesn't seem to be a good reason for the sweep, and the taper ratio is great enough so that tip stalling may be a problem.
