Some of you may recall the first few of these were available from www.vstol.org.

Unfortunately, later ones are not freely available, which is a shame because they are excellent. This is the latest list, I can vouch for the first 15 as being well worth a read.

Hmm ... The idea behind this series of papers on VSTOL concepts was to publish them as a book someday, but most of them (especially the early papers) need an update. For instance vstol, Jemiba and I were in Friedrichshafen/Immenstaad to visit the Dornier archive a few years ago. It was not allowed to check the files by ourselves, instead the woman from the archive has pre-selected material for us. That's why we can't promise had to find ALL Dornier VSTOL projects (see a few of the possibly layouts attached). We are still looking for a satisfying way to present the material.

In the meantime further papers have been written:

18. Hirschberg, M., Matej Furda, and T. Müller,
“Czechoslovakian, Polish and Yugoslavian V/STOL Concepts of the 20th Century,”
AHS Forum 66, May 2010.

19. Hirschberg, M., and T. Müller,
“A Miscellany of Western European V/STOL Concepts of the 20th Century,”
International Powered Lift Conference, AHS, October 2010.

20. Hirschberg, M., Michael Pryce, and T. Müller
“Jet V/STOL Propulsion Systems of the 20th Century,”
AHS Forum 67, May 2011.

As you can see several SPF members supported the job by various means - thank you so much again for all your help and efforts :).

vstol, it's time to find a way for a portal ;) ...
