After producing 47 out of a batch of 100 IA 35s ordered by the Argentine air force, DINFIA (the former IAME) developed a turbo-prop version of this aircraft. An attractive aircraft with excellent all-around performance. However, it retained the rectangular fuselage section of the I.A. 35, which I was told by former personnel of the FMA, and my friend Francisco San Martín, prevented the installation of a pressurized cabin system, something which despite the interest shown by other South American countries, frustrated exports of the type
