The SAR-87(AKA 'Sterling LAR') was a proposed service rifle for the British Forces that could also be used as a 9mm machine carbine with a conversion kit. This weapon was a sound reliable design, Just that the MOD long wanted a Bullpup rifle and the fact Sterling armaments went bankrupt.
