I look forward to this book, which is a revised and updated combined edition (464 pages) of the two volumes on the Me 163 which have long been out of print.
Dan Sharp mentioned in the past on the Falke Eins website that he was helping Ransom to update his book for a reprint.

Available as of 30th September 2021: http://www.crecy.co.uk/me-163-rocket-interceptor
Half a year later not looking forward anymore because .................................. the book was delivered at my home today!

Me 163 Rocket Interceptor (cover).jpg

The book is a hardcover with dustcover and has 406 pages of 301 x 222 mm, not 464 pages as the Crecy website states: http://www.crecy.co.uk/me-163-rocket-interceptor

The text is in two columns of 76 mm wide each. The letters are very small with a line spacing of only 3.6 mm, smaller than some other books that I have from the Classic series.
Maybe to reduce the required number of pages from 464 to 406 to save some cost?
In any case a beautiful book.

I hope that Schiffer does an English-language version like they've done with some of Reichl's other books.

This time I’m going to keep patient. I don’t want to repeat experiences like Russian attack aircrat (italian) or III Reich super heavy tanks (German) translated to English after a few months

Through this book, it suffices to say that,my dear James put all his collection in details for
each known designs,to be look like his first book from 1914-1918 about also French military
aircraft, and I put my experiences in unknown or little known concepts, you can imagine that,
about or almost 25 % of its entries are Projects.

Finally published, my copy arrived today. Les wrote the Introduction exactly four years ago, so you can see how long this one has been in the Crecy system. No doubt had to wait for the endless catalogue of locomotives, trucks and buses picture books to go through first ;). I've only had time to flick through but its full of never-seen-before projects and new information. A great addition to my library.

OK, a quick update. I've checked out a few chapters (not too long as I'm supposed to be writing) and frankly I'm blown away. This is an excellent book packed with an unbelievable number of previously unseen projects and supporting data. It will take me quite some time to digest it all. The quality of the print is excellent although Les' CAD drawings look a bit 'thin' because of the fine line weight, but still quite acceptable as the print resolution on the quality glossy paper is good. He is aware of that. At least it reduces the chances of his copyright drawings ending up on some rip-off Russian site as a pdf.
Over the last few years it has become increasingly apparent that the Putnam series of company histories, even the more recent ones, are looking decidedly dated, prone to bias, incomplete and often erroneous in part. It is books such as this which are needed to replace them. We just have to find the potential authors with access to all the archived material, which so often lies uncatalogued and almost inaccessible to a wider audience. There remains so much out there just waiting to be viewed by knowledgeable researchers. I know as I keep stumbling across stuff almost by accident.

Luftwaffe Special Weapons 1942–45
Author: Robert Forsyth
Illustrator: Jim Laurier
About this product:
As the course of World War II turned against the Third Reich after Stalingrad some of the most inventive and radical proposals, and designs, were put forward by armaments manufacturers, scientists and technicians, aircrew and even private individuals to the Reichsluftministerium (German Air Ministry) for consideration. Some proposals were destined never to leave the drawing board, while others not only underwent trials but were issued to operational units and used in action.

In this fascinating new book, leading Luftwaffe historian Robert Forsyth examines the many different types of weapons that comprised the Luftwaffe's increasingly potent arsenal during the second half of the war. This was the period that saw the development and adoption of aerial torpedoes, wire-guided rockets and missiles, batteries fired by photo-electric cells, chemical weapons, composite bombers and air-launched flying bombs.
---------------------
Biographical Note:
Robert Forsyth has studied the history and operations of the Luftwaffe for many years. He is the author of a number of books on the subject as published by Classic Publications, Ian Allan Publishing and Osprey Publishing - for whom he has written 20 titles in the Ace, Duel, Combat Aircraft and X-Planes series, as well as the stand-alone Shadow over the Atlantic that Aeroplane magazine rates as ‘highly recommended'. He has also written articles for The Aviation Historian, Aeroplane, FlyPast, Combat Aircraft, Aviation News and AeroJournal magazines. He is a member of the Editorial Board of The Aviation Historian.

Iraqi Indigenous Arms Projects 1970-2003

This book could be best thought of as an 'Iraqi Secret Projects' volume because Saddam Hussein was bent on taking Iraq back to the glory of the Babylonian Empire and Iraq's secret weapons programs largely ceased after he was ousted (claims that Saddam was reconstituting his biological and chemical warfare programs proved false, but that's another story).

I can confirm to you that,in Iraq and before 1970,this program was begun,
as we did in Egypt in early 1950s,both of us reached to build or at least
invented a space missiles ?!.

I wanted to reply on two counts:

First I wholeheartedly agree about this book. The only real criticism I can make is since the P.111 is on the cover, there is surprisingly little about it within. As a fan of the P.111 it was a little disappointing. The polygonal cowlings and liftfan craziness more than compensate though!

Second, I shall be purchasing Crecy's book on Robinson Eight-Coupled Locomotives when it comes out. Humphh......
