Dear Boys and Girls, here is an article in French about the Ryan BLC-7 boundary layer control STOL executive aircraft "project". The Ryan BLC-7 would have featured boundary layer suction on the inboard flaps with blown outboard flaps and ailerons for STOL performance. The article doesn't clarify what mechanism would be used to provide suction and compressed air other than "combustion" of fuel in "burners"......

The article comes from the 6th October 1961 issue of Les Ailes......

Very interesting! Another obscure project by Ryan (and there seems to have been quite a few before the company decided to specialize in unmanned vehicles only...).

Stéphane, does my "translation" of the boundary layer control and blown flaps/ailerons make sense?

Well it didn't strike me as strange, so I guess it's good! ;D
