Hi,
Anyone has information about an aircraft designated RTAF-5 produced in Thailand in only two prototypes. I have search on the net but there aren't information about technical data. I search, if possible a drawing of this aircraft and the related articles published on JAWA.

Thanks in advance

Dear Brontolino,
following info is from my files. Hope this is of help.
The RTAF-5 was designed by the Office of Aeronautics and Aircraft Design of the Royal Thai Air Force and was the country's first indigenous design since 1945. The RTAF-5 was mainly intended for use as trainer and FAC/observation operations. One flying and one static test prototype were built and the flying RTAF-5 made the first flight on 5 October 1984. Although the aircraft had a retractable undercarriage, it was locked during the test programme. Development was soon halted and the aircraft went to the Air Force Museum in Bangkok.
Wingspan 31ft 4in (32ft 3.5in over wingtip pods), length 28ft 9in, height 10ft.
Engine one 420hp Allison 250-B17C turbine
max. speed 242 mph, cruise 206 mph, initial climbrate 1,500ft/minute, ceiling 20,000ft, range 540 miles
Regards, Walter
