Greetings
I am undertaking some research on Woomera and Maralinga and British atomic testing in Australia 1952-1963
Does anyone have any material on where Britain obtained its uranium for this project?

Still after a photo of the PAC used in the testing of Project Falstaff?

Any material on Project Falstaff at Woomera 1969-1979

cheers

Here are a couple of books by the late Lorna Arnold:

Britain, Australia and the bomb : the nuclear tests and their aftermath / Lorna Arnold and Mark Smith ; foreword by Air Marshal the Lord Garden KCB - Make sure you look at the 2nd edition.

Britain and the H-bomb / Lorna Arnold, with Katherine Pyne ; foreword by Lawrence Freedman

For anyone interested in Woomera, I would recommend 'Fire Across The Desert' by Peter Morton. I used to work in the same building as the DoD staff who operated the range, and, IIRC, they rated it very highly.

Even better, it is now available to download for free from https://www.dst.defence.gov.au/publication/fire-across-the-desert

Would you please give a synopsis of the book.
Sub-titled 'Woomera and the Anglo-Australian Joint Project 1946-1980.,' the, linked, website described the book as '... an extensive account of the Joint Anglo Australian Project that led to establishment of the township Woomera and the missile testing range that helped shape our defence and contributed significantly to space exploration. Fire Across the Desert has been digitised to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the launch of Australia’s first satellite, WRESAT, from the Woomera Rocket Range on 29 November 1967.

If you have any interest in the activities at Woomera, you won't be disappointed.
