Pitts model numbers appear to have started with the Model 11 and continue through the Model 14:

  • Model 11 - redesigned S-1 Special
  • Model 12 - high performance aerobatic biplane powered by a Vedeneyev M14P
  • Model 13 - unbuilt monoplane with an enclosed coupe cockpit
  • Model 14 - unfinished prototype biplane powered by a Vedeneyev M14P
Information for the above is here. Does anyone have information on Models 1 through 10, if they even existed? I doubt the S-1 and S-2 Special were the Model 1 and 2, respectively, because there were several designs that preceded them.

Curtis Pitts did built & flew with success two Goodyear racers before his S-1 biplane:
The "Pellet" in 1948-49
The "Lil Monster" in 1950-51

The Model 11 is more commonly known as S-1-11 and S-1-11B (or Super Stinker) so it might count as a variant of S-1.
There are many variants of S-1 and S-2. I did not find a list of Model numbers, but there might well be one somewhere.
