Piaggio Avanti II MPA

After service in Italian air force, now Piaggio signed a contract with Abu Dhabi Autonomous System Investments to develop a MPA (Multirole Patrol Aircraft) version with the first flight expected during 2014. SAAB will provide a mission equipment. The new special mission aircraft will be capable of flying at 41,000 feet, with a remarkable resistance of more than 10 flight hours, a maximum range of 3,300 nautical miles and a best in class cruising speed of 350 Knots.

We have a couple of Avantis flying out of here locally and you know its them coming your way long before you see them - there's a unique sound/buzz to them with the props just aft of the trailing of the wing.
