A hundred years ago it seems to me - sometime during my research, I saw an inflight color photograph of YF-93A No. 2 (48-318). Am I the only one? I have never seen it since.

Here the pictures at the SDASM Archives.

XB-70, the pictures show mostly the YF-93A No. 1 (-317)and are not in colour. :(

Still not in colour, but here 2 pictures of both prototypes with different intakes, taken from nearly the same angle.

http://ails.arc.nasa.gov/ails/printPreview.php?rid=5561 is missing.

Thanks so much for these - I find it odd however that both aircraft are numbered identically as NACA 139. -SP

Here's the actual photo I seen but it was in color. I wrongly said No. 2 earlier. -SP

Of course there are plenty, plenty and plenty of unpublished beautiful YF-93 colour photo negative gems in the Boeing Historical Archives !
But sadly nobody will never see them...

For instance, 3 nice publicity colour photos on ground from the Boeing archives in the Dennis R Jenkins books (Specialty Press) :

- Experimental & prototype US Air Force Jet Fighters
- USAF prototype jet fighters - a photo scrapbook

This is my book on the XF-88 program - published by Ginter Books in the Air Force Legends series. -SP

North American Aviation concept model of the two-place, all-weather fighter version of the F-93 (as it reads on the stand).

Undoubtedly one of the most desirable original desktop models I've seen in a long time!

This was NA-166 calling for one production two-place all-weather F-93A. -SP
