Did you know that? It is valid from 15. March 2009 and personally I don't like it much.

Yeah, I'd heard some reports and seen some pictures. There's nothing wrong with the symbol itself IMHO, but it does spell the end of a historic icon - it's a bit like Lufthansa getting rid of the crane or AA abandoning their polished metal livery

At least from some distance it looks like the good old red star, we were
used to for so many years. On many photos it will be difficult to tell the
date it was taken just by looking at the emblem.

It is canceled. The normal red star is kept.

They (politicians) proposed it first. Then it was tested out. They gave green light to it as the new star. Then they met quite a lot of critique from MOD and ac fanatics. Back to the old one.

And thanks heavens, because it looks terrible.
