I apologise for the fact that the image below is of even poorer quality than the last which I posted. It appeared in one of the French aviation journals - probably L'Aéro - in August 1934. It illustrates a single engine, low wing monoplane with an enclosed cockpit seating three. The face that appears in the top right hand corner is, presumably, that of M. Jean Moreau who, presumably, built the aeroplane. Beyond the caption there was not, to the best of my recollection (sadly I did not copy the whole page on which the photograph appeared), any more information about this aeroplane and neither the internet nor the books in my library make any mention of a Jean Moreau or any aeroplane constructed by him. Does anyone know any thing about him or his aeroplane or have a better image of it?

With my thanks, again, in anticipation.

In my database (wwq;vignaud.org), I found a record of a Moreau model 10 that is supposed to had his maiden flight in 1935, with a 180 hp engine.

Merci, Patrice. Vos renseignements supplémentaires étaient très utiles.

Armed with the description, the Moreau Model 10, the internet became my friend! There is much more about it at http://www.master194.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=68377, including a much better image (reproduced below) and at http://wingsofintent.blogspot.fr/2012/05/delanne-ii-moreau-jm-10.html. Does anyone have a copy of issue no. 68 of Avions, in which it is said is an article on this aeroplane by Pierre Cortet?

It would seem that this aeroplane started life at the Delanne II F-AJGB; was sold to SCA and renamed the SFR-10; and was then sold on to Jean Moreau, becoming the Moreau JM-10. After the involvement of Nicolas Payen, several engine changes and re-registration as F-ANNI, M. Moreau apparently tried to sell the JM-10 into Spain, at the time of its civil war, was murdered and the aeroplane was heard of no more!

No doubt about this, but there was another thread (Delanne II) about the same topic.

From Avions no.68.

From Avions no.68.
From it;

This low bed sedan monoplane
had a modern feel. The canopy, covered
of plywood was removable and
foolproof. Its large closed cabin and largely
glazed allowed evacuation in
parachute. He was designated Delanne D.ll by his
designer and dubbed "blue lbis". We
suppose that Delanne had, before him, drawn
a first device (D.l) which remained in the state
Project.

The cockpit canopy on F-AJGB looks much like the NACA X-2 canopy on the much later (1961) Turner T-40 single-seater.

The overall look of the Delanne II aircraft (including the canopy) looks like a less-clunky interpretation of the 1929 Tunison Scout, which was made almost entirely of laminated wood.

It’s funny but I find a certain resemblance in the cockpit between the Delanne D.2 and the prototype of Joost Conijn ... whose power and dimensions are quite close !
